I have changed my major three times since the beginning of my college career. I knew I wanted to do something in communications and I knew I loved organization and seeing my hard work come to life, but I didn’t connect the dots and didn’t look into graphic design until recently. Looking back, I don’t know how I neglected to see that this was the field for me. I have always had a passion for anything creative, especially the complexity and intensity which is graphic design. To say what I love most about graphic design is that, for the first time, I feel overwhelming passionate and an indescribable drive to work hard for something, to know more, and to be better everyday. I don’t have a specific moment where I knew I should major in design, I just know that every time I think about it I am excited to do more. This semester, I’m hoping to learn from both my peers and my professors, I’m hoping to grow from my critiques and better my presentation skills, but mostly I’m looking forward to beginning my education as a graphic designer and the challenges which come with it.
