Your series really flows well together and I love the minimalistic look. Your ostrich is spectacular, the use of the ‘s’ is perfect and it really gives off the willowy vibe of an ostrich. The antelope is also impressive and you captured the animal’s essence so accurately. I love how that the illustration is in black lettering because even then you can still tell what animal it is right away. My only concern is what you already heard during class, the body of the antelope can be improved and from what I have seen so far of your work, it will be amazing after some changes.
Libby, I love this series so much! I think the typefaces that you selected fit really well for each animal you portrayed. They are very clean and simple, and the colors work really well for each animal, too. I agree that I think you are capable of going above and beyond and going even further with the antelope, and I can’t wait to see what you can do with it!
Hi Libby! I think your series of animals is phenomenal. The ostrich and the antelope are absolutely spot on. I do like your giraffe a lot as well, I just think it could be improved upon in order to make the design a little more cohesive with the other two. I get a very cute and child-friendly vibe from the giraffe, whereas the other two are more sophisticated. Regardless, the three are all very well done! Like I mentioned in class, I would literally hang a poster of your antelope on my wall, that is how much I love it.
