One recurring theme I noticed in all of the advice posts from previous students was to break out of your comfort zone and try new things. I’m relatively inexperienced with design, as I’ve only had a few class assignments to really pour all of my skills into. I used similar fonts, similar color palettes, and haven’t had the chance to try anything outside the box or “risky”. I’d like to branch out this year and really see what I’m capable of. I also noticed that nearly all the students said to not procrastinate – this is advice I’m not going to take lightly. If all of them said to start early, I’m going to trust them and do my best to work on my time management and self discipline.
