When I was an undergraduate student, I didn’t know what I interested in. At that time, the only thing I knew was I like drawing, so I chose Fashion Design. During four years at SU, I enjoyed the moment when I created something new and fresh, and also I like the feeling when I achieved each of my designs. Especially during my junior and senior year, I was thinking about what I want to do after I graduate from SU. I had a great intern opportunity in summer when I was a Junior. I worked in a public relation firm in Beijing and learned how they manipulate social media by posting articles and designing text and layout. Finally, due to this experience, I found out that I want to become a fashion magazine editor, which is a job related to fashion and design. However, being a fashion magazine editor requires not only fashion knowledge but also communication design knowledge, which I have not possessed enough. Therefore, I am here in Newhouse to learn design skills that can help me to become a fashion magazine editor.
