While reading the advice from past students, something that stood out to me was to make something you are passionate about. Designers spend a huge amount of time on their projects, so when working on something, it will turn out a lot better if I am passionate about what I am creating. The passion will show in the final product. Another piece of advice that I am going to take to heart is to start early. Almost every person who gave advice included that you should always start projects early. I know how much time I spent on the projects in GRA217, and if I had started those projects the day before they were due, they probably wouldn’t have been finished on time. The last piece of advice that stood out to me was to remember my intention. Everything in design has a purpose, and while designing I need to remember that and make decisions for specific reasons, and be able to explain them to anyone who asks.
