A Few Words

What’s the most important thing I learned about design?

Revise, Revise, Revise. Nothing is ever perfect on the first draft.

What’s the most important thing I learned about typography?

Simplest solution is almost always the best solution. People generaly hate reading, and content can’t feel force fed.

What’s the most important thing I learned about myself?

I love seeing my work in print. I never knew how satisfying it was until now.

Now that you’ve been through it, what three pieces of advice would you give yourself if you were just starting to take this course for the first time?

1 Brush up on your type terms once a week, preferably before thursdays class.

2 Leave your design and come back to it… Its hard to see mistakes when you are attached to your work.

3 Always have at least 30 min to export a file, because your computer will crash, printer will not print, and everything that can go wrong, will go wrong.
